Top 5 Moments from Arrow Season 4 Episode 3

Rating: 8.5/10

Careful for spoilers!

I am so impressed with how this season is going so far. Even with The Flash! This week’s episode of Arrow continued with Damien Darhk and whatever his plan with the organization, Hive, is. We got the addition of Double Down and got to see Malcolm Merlyn as Ras Al Ghul. The show continues to raise the bar and improve in both action, writing, special effects, and overall show quality. I especially like Arrow because we’ve seen character development from almost all the recurring characters on the show. I can’t wait to see how this season ends because as things are now, there doesn’t seem to be any way that Oliver can beat Damien Darhk. He’ll either need a lot of help or some special training in order to beat him.

Here are my top 5 moments of the Arrow Season 4 Episode 3:

5. A metahuman is in Star City.

Double Down, much like Gambit from Marvel’s X-Men, can shoot cards by peeling off the tattoos from his body. He seems like one of the first really formidable small villains on Arrow.

4. Damien Darhk shows he’s ruthless.

Damien Darhk pretty much showed me that Oliver can’t beat him. First, he has his power of telekinesis, where he can stop Oliver’s arrows and he was also able to stop Double Down’s card. Second, he’s ruthless. He had no problem killing Mina Fayad, who worked for him.

3. Felicity kicks butt.

It seemed like this episode really wanted to highlight Felicity quite a bit. First she yelled at Oliver and Diggle, putting them in their place and forcing them to talk. Then she takes a gun (that she doesn’t know how to use) and starts shooting at Double Down! I think we’ve seen quite a bit of development from earlier seasons where Felicity would have most likely cried in a corner when attacked. Also worth noting is that Curtis found out that she works with Green Arrow during their altercation with Double Down.

2. Diggle & Oliver are bros again.

Things have finally settled between Oliver and Diggle. It took both, Felicity forcing them to talk and Oliver taking a card for Diggle to happen, but we can finally say all is well with Team Arrow.

1. Sara Lance is back.

Malcolm and Thea help Laurel bring back Sara using the Lazarus Pit. However, Sara is not herself at all now and will kill anyone that gets near her. I assume much of the rest of the season up to the mid-season finale will deal with trying to get Sara back to normal, although she may never really go back to normal.
