The release date for Square Enix’s upcoming RPG Final Fantasy XV has been postponed from September 30 to November 29, Gamensia reports, citing a source within GameStop management. Promotional materials for the upcoming title with new dates on them have been shipped to GameStop locations, the report says. The source told Gamnesia that GameStop stores were given specific instructions not to disseminate any of the updated information until August 14th.
Reasons for the delay are not yet known.
Final Fantasy XV has been one of the most hyped releases of 2016, garnering headlines all throughout the year. The game has been ten years in the making, but apparently that hasn’t been quite enough time.
