Travis here, thought I’d give my final predictions before the big night tomorrow evening! I know Kameona (Bubba) and I gave our predictions on the latest podcast we did this past Monday (check that out HERE), but I wanted to lock in my predictions. I have re-watched several of the movies that are contending for more than 1 or 2 categories, so I feel as if I have a better grasp of who I really think will win. Note: who I THINK will win, not necessarily who I WANT to win. If it were me movies like Mad Max: Fury Road and Ex Machina would go home with several golden trophies tomorrow night, but I don’t make those decisions. Instead, I’ll give you who I think the people who do make those decisions will pick. I will be picking the winners of the categories in which I have seen most of the films. I don’t want to randomly select from the foreign language category, mainly because I haven’t seen any of them. I’m trying to be realistic and fair. But I think this could be a massive night for The Revenant. Although, I should say that I had a hard time picking best director, it really could be either Iñárritu or Miller. Hard to say, but I picked Miller because of this was his life’s work in one film. It was amazing, and I think the Academy will agree with that.
