Money Will Determine James Bond’s Future

This was the weekend of Bond, or at least that’s what BOX OFFICE MOJO says.

The latest installment in the James Bond series leads the weekend by almost doubling the second place movie, The Peanuts Movie.

Regardless of what you thought about the movie (Our Review of Spectre Podcast), Spectre dominated this weekend in terms of cash. But the interesting part of Daniel Craig’s tenure as British superspy James Bond begins now.

Until THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY – PART 2 comes out on November 20th, Spectre has no major competition. In terms of money, this could decide whether or not Columbia/Sony actually want to bring Daniel Craig back as James Bond. This may seem crazy, but the general consensus is that Craig has ran his course as Bond, though that’s definitely not my opinion even though I may sound like it on our podcast.

If Spectre can bring in major cash over the next few weeks and stay consistent into the holidays, then we could actually see Craig return as Bond to cap off the series.
