Skip & Watch November 5 – November 7, 2015

This week features two movies that wouldn’t be a waste of your money, The Peanuts Movie and Spectre. Basically, this week is a question of what you’re in the mood for. If you want to see a good movie with awesome animation, go watch The Peanuts Movie. If you’re looking for some awesome action and a decent story, go watch Spectre.

Spectre

The 24th film in the James Bond movie series is rumored to be the last staring Daniel Craig as Bond. The film takes place in Mexico City and Rome with Bond having to infiltrate and uncover the existence of SPECTRE, a criminal organization. The film has decent reviews but won’t be anything that stands out in this MEGA year of movies. A must watch for any Bond fans. Along with Daniel Craig, the film features Christoph Waltz, Monica Bellucci, Andrew Scott and even Dave Bautista (he played Drax in Guardians of the Galaxy).

The Peanuts Movie

The classic comic strip created by Charles M. Schulz comes to the big screen and is beautifully done. The animation style is done in such a way that it looks amazing and keeps that retro feel to it. The animation does a great job of nodding to the fact that this film is based off the comic strip. There are even parts of the movie that feature hand drawn images that could have been found in one of Schulz’s strips. The characters and story stay true to the original works by Schulz as well. Definitely a good movie to take the whole family to and a must see for anyone who loved reading The Peanuts in the newspaper every day.
