This week’s movie to not watch: Pixels
When it comes to Adam Sandler movies, they are either really funny or not at all. Although Pixels has an all-star cast in Adam Sandler, Peter Dinklage, Keven James, Josh Gad, and others, it just will not hold as a feature length film. Sure, there will be a few funny jokes and times that I will laugh when I watch it on Thursday (Yes, I’m watching it. I got a free movie ticket so get off my back). But from the very first trailer released I’ve felt that this movie would be mediocre.
But don’t just take my opinion, Rotten Tomatoes gave it 14%. Adam Sandler’s 2014 movieThe Cobbler got an 11% from Rotten Tomatoes. If you want to watch The Cobbler and use it as a reference, it is currently available on Netflix. Rotten Tomatoes aren’t the only people criticizing Pixels, an article reviewing the movie on The Verge was entitled “Pixels Review: Adam Sandler must be stopped.” The point is, don’t do it! Unless you’re filthy rich and don’t care about spending all your money, are a huge Adam Sandler fan, or are a nostalgic fan of older video games.
