Vixen Episode 6 Review

9/10

We finally reached the conclusion of Vixen. If you haven’t watched it yet, it’s on CW Seed for free so check it out. It only takes about 30 minutes to go through all 6 episodes! You can check out some of our other reviews here!

Careful for spoilers!

Where do I start? This episode was so good because it had a good mix of action and storyline. It brought the whole story back full circle. First, we learned that the necklace belongs to the family, not just one person. Mari’s mother took Mari and the necklace as far away from Mari’s sister as possible because Mari’s mother didn’t want her misusing the necklace’s power. Mari gets the help from the spirit animals to take down Mari’s sister and get the necklace back. I thought it was very ironic that Mari used the spider bite to get the necklace back.

What I really liked about this episode was that when Mari got back to Detroit, we saw everything come back full circle. What I mean is that Mari now found her identity. She mended her relationship with her foster father, decided that she will continue in her design career, and fight crime at the same time. Her relationship with Arrow and Flash also got better. I think we will definitely see Mari in either The Flash, Arrow, or Legends of Tomorrow. Finally, the episode ends with Mari getting her name Vixen and we learn that Cisco came up with the name.

So what’s next for Vixen? My hope is that enough people have watched this so CW will make this into either a live-action series or a full animated series. I would prefer a live-action series but would be happy with an animated one as well. For now, I’m happy with her making appearances in either of the other CW superhero shows.
